Germany - Behringer has appointed Joerg Windhorst as deputy general manager for Behringer Germany. USA Having spent the last three years with Vari-Lite, Sean Hoey has returned to High End Systems to take up the position of sales manager for the south eastern US. Between 1991 and 2001 Hoey was HES sales manager of various US regions, prior to being appointed director of American sales. Hoey said of his return: "I'm home. USA - Bill Morris has returned to High End Systems (HES) Inc in a new role as VP of sales. Based at the company's Austin, Texas headquarters, Morris will oversee sales of HES automated/digital lighting and Wholehog control products in North and South America and Asia.

Morris was VP of worldwide marketing at HES from March 2003 to March 2004. He has spent the last six months running his own marketing consulting firm based in the Austin area. Prior to his stint at High End, Morris was employed by Dell Computer Corporation and was responsible for developing and implementing Dell's software sales and marketing strategy. In earlier years, he founded and managed a marketing and public relations firm based in Dallas, Texas.

Kolding has steered Martin Professional through a six-year industrialisation process that has more than doubled the company's size, positioning it as the world's leading manufacturer of computer-controlled effect lighting.

Pioneering lighting designer Andy Phillips, who was an integral part of the artistic team at the Royal Court Theatre from 1965 - 1972, passed away on September 17 aged 63.

Phillips was famed for his unfussy and uncluttered lighting techniques, believing that if lighting was noticed it was essentially bad lighting. During his time at the Royal Court he was given free reign to experiment with lighting, which ultimately resulted in the famous 'white light' technique where, if colour was used at all it tended to be colour correction reducing the orange cast of tungsten sources. This method aimed to retain the natural skin tone of an actors face and ensure total visual clarity of facial expression. Cox has joined LBI having worked for a rental company as a lighting technician, specialising in automated lights. Before that she worked as the stage manager for the Comedy Store in London. She has a wide range of experience from running - and even performing in - cabaret shows to editing videos.

She now works for LBI as the Technical Administrator, administrating and co-ordinating installations, and various other projects, from conception to completion.
