UK - Making sense of the mayhem surrounding the past, present and future of radio microphone frequency wavebands, Trantec comes to PLASA 2010 as one of the first companies to offer UHF wireless systems compatible with the new Channel 38.

On demonstration and already shipping in a Channel 38-compliant version of the company's S4.16 16-channel system, while also on display will be the successful S5.3 12-channel system and its newer, 'big brother' variant, the 24-channel S5.5. Between them, these products underline Trantec's commitment to ensuring customers have a future-proof solution once Ofcom phases out Channel 69 for wireless mic use during 2012.

Mark Parkhouse, head of sales & marketing at Trantec, comments: "Twenty-five years after pioneering the world's first readily available radio mics, our foresight and imagination have taken us to a whole new level. For entertainment industry professionals, our S4.16 offers great flexibility including the availability of various 'turnkey' racks to suit different configurations of multiple receivers. For the semi-pro, smaller productions and installations, our S5 series continues to take the market by storm, with the new addition of the S5.5 offering increased channel capability in response to customer demand.

"PLASA is where the UK's entertainment community comes together and we're delighted to be at the show with a product line that answers the questions so many industry professionals have been asking ever since Ofcom began its review of radio frequency usage. No matter what your query, Trantec will find you a solution that meets your needs!"
