USA - New York-based Group One Limited, the US distributor for a number of the pro audio and lighting industries’ best-known brands, reports that it has added Plus Four Marketing to its independent manufacturer’s representative network. Matt Larson, Group One vice-president, professional audio products, made the announcement at NAB 2025.

Headquartered in Walnut Creek, California, Plus Four Marketing is under the direction of principal Joe Mathews, son of the late James ‘Jimmy’ Mathews who founded the firm more than 40 years ago. Effective immediately, Plus Four has been retained by Group One to facilitate sales and support for the DiGiCo, Fourier Audio, KLANG, MC2, Sound Devices, and XTA lines throughout Northern California, Nevada (outside of Las Vegas), Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska.

“Plus Four is an exceptional second-generation legacy rep firm with strong ties to many major-player connections across Northern California and the Pacific West,” says Matt Larson, to whom the newly hired firm reports. “Joe Mathews, Keith Erickson, Tom Akoury, and the rest of the team are all talented and respected engineers that bring real-world experience to their roles as reps, and we’re excited to welcome them onboard Group One as we continue to grow.”

“I think the best part of working in AV is that everyone has a real passion for it; nobody enters this industry on accident,” says Joe Mathews. “We all share a love for concerts, recording, movies, et cetera, and I love being able to connect with other people and talk shop about how we can make live experiences and productions even better for audiences. The crew at Group One are all kindred spirits – like-minded audio ‘nerds’ – and we here at Plus Four are looking forward to helping their current and future customers in any way we can.”
