Belgium - STUK is an international arts centre in the Belgian University city of Leuven. Driven by an open view of the world, the centre seeks to connect its patrons with contemporary dance, visual and audio-visual arts, sound art and adventurous music.
Housed in a large building, parts of which date back more than a century, and comprising multiple rooms including a main performance space, the centre recently underwent a refurbishment to improve its sustainability and upgrade its facilities.
The STUKcafé is an important hub within the building, and as well as being a popular eaterie for visitors and students, also hosts a wide range of events. Part of the refurb included provision for a new audio system in the café, the project for which was awarded to production specialist Stresske BVBA. Belgium - The Royal Theatre of La Monnaie / De Munt in Brussels has selected ETC’s Eos Apex consoles to upgrade the control of the lighting in its 1,150 seated space.
ETC dealer, Controllux specified the lighting for the Muntschouwburg venue which showcases a variety of performances from opera and classical music concerts to dance shows and more. Following positive reviews and feedback from international lighting designers, the lighting team at the theatre wanted to see which console would best meet their needs and invited - amongst others - Controllux’s Kris Noerens to demo ETC’s Eos Apex.

Germany - Theater Erfurt is synonymous with sophisticated musical theatre, enriching the cultural scene of Germany's Thuringian state capital through operas, musicals, and concerts performed by the Erfurt Philharmonic Orchestra. Built in 2003, Theater Erfurt is recognised as one of the most modern venues of its kind in Europe, offering immersive sound and excellent sightlines. Venezuela - A new cigar bar and restaurant in the Venezuelan capital Caracas aims to deliver a premium experience to discerning guests, from the moment they walk through the door. The Robusto Bar combines high-end dining and cocktails with an extensive selection of cigars in a luxuriously appointed venue that includes a lounge, humidor and VIP room.
Central to creating a sophisticated ambience is a Nexo ID Series sound system installed and calibrated by local distributor Sun Music Pro, who were also involved in the acoustic treatment of the spaces.

UK - London’s Southbank Centre has expanded its inventory of Ayrton LED moving head fixtures with the addition of 12 Ayrton Mistral S spots to its permanent rig over the Royal Festival Hall’s Clore Ballroom.

USA - M&T Bank Exchange in Baltimore has opened as the city’s newest live event venue with an Elation Professional lighting package that can cater to any occasion from concert to reception and everything in between. The new 14,193 sq.ft performance space has been created within the shell of an historic 19th century bank building and represents the long-awaited final phase of the France-Merrick Performing Arts Centre.

UK - Cornflake recently undertook an installation project for Maddux Creative X Fromental at the WOW!house design centre located in Chelsea Harbour, a collaboration of designers, craftspeople and specialist suppliers including Altfield, Charles Burnand, ecoScent, George Smith, Illuminationworks, K-array, Lutron, Optelma, Pierre Frey, Tom Faulkner, The Royal School of Needlework, and 2B Heard, who between them have created the 3am Room.
The sonic focus of this project was the integration of K-array's miniature Lyzard loudspeakers, which ‘brought a new dimension of audio excellence and a relaxing sonic backdrop to the outstanding exhibit’.

Denmark - Bellevue Teatret (Bellevue Theatre) is located in Klampenborg, a suburb north of Copenhagen, Denmark. Its scenic location is about 100m back from the beach, and views from the front of the building overlook the Øresund strait.
Founded in 1936 and designed by architect Arne Jacobsen, the building is one of his seminal works - and one of several in the area - as well as an important example of Danish functionalism.
In the last year, the theatre has invested in more Robe moving lights, with the purchase of 12 x TX1 PosiProfiles - the first to be installed in Denmark - joining their 24 x LEDBeam 350s acquired in 2021.
The fixtures were chosen by production manager Bjarne Olsen and technical manager Martin Vive Rasmussen for their 746-capacity main house.

UK - University of the Arts London (UAL) has signed the first deal to install Sony’s new Crystal LED, Verona displays, to create a state-of-the-art, research-grade virtual production stage.
In June 2023, University of the Arts London (UAL) announced the development of a specialist Virtual Production (VP) research volume - via its Fashion Textiles and Technology Institute (FTTI) - to create capacity for innovative, trans-disciplinary practice-led research in VP/XR textiles and dress.
To support this new facility, UAL went looking to outfit a space with a robust yet cutting-edge, future proof display solution. Research and university requirements pointed them towards display solutions that would provide value over an extended lifespan while delivering the highest possible colour accuracy and detail.

USA - In the suburbs of Detroit lies Shelby Township, home to St. John Vianney Catholic Church. The quiet and unassuming church hosts a vast nave, with seating for more than 1200 people.
The rectangular nave features brick-lined walls and soaring slanted ceilings that culminate in a glass-encased cupola, allowing natural light to bathe the altar below. Although open and airy, the vaulted ceilings and brick masonry compromised the speech intelligibility of liturgical services. Ivory Coast- More than 60 Powersoft Quattrocanali 4804 amplifiers are delivering the power for an all-new PA system serving one of the biggest stadia in West Africa.
Located in the eponymous suburb of Abidjan, the largest city in the Ivory Coast, the Olympic Stadium of Ebimpé is the country’s national stadium, being home to Les Éléphants, the Ivory Coast national football team.

Belgium - ETC’s Source Four LED Series 3 fixtures have been selected to upgrade the Cultural Centre (CC) in Koksijde.
The popular centre has state-of-the-art facilities in its theatre and concert hall which regularly host a variety of performances including dance productions, comedy shows, arthouse film screenings and more. ETC dealer FACE led the successful installation of the fixtures at the venue with account manager Koen Ceulemans and team, alongside head technician at the CC Miguel Rooms and his technical team.

Australia - Bamm Bamm Wolfgang, a music and audio post-production facility in Sydney, has opened a PMC-equipped Atmos mixing room that is catering for a wide variety of immersive audio projects, from film and television programmes through to advertising, games and music.
Established in 2017 by sound designer, music producer and composer Adam Alexander, Bamm Bamm Wolfgang is housed in the Viking Lounge complex.

The Netherlands - The Billybird Park Dragon Kingdom is an amusement park in Reuver. Since it opened in 2013, the park has continued to grow and its latest attraction is the largest play castle in the Netherlands. Designed by Amusementprof, the castle is 15m high and features a lighting installation by Dynamic, Beeld, Licht & Geluid who used fixtures from Showtec.
The original Billybird Park began as Recreatieplas Hemelrijk back in 1986. Billybird Park Dragon Kingdom is the second of three Billybird parks that exist today, each of which is constantly being improved.
