Europe - Yamaha has announced the introduction of its new HS3 and HS4 compact powered studio monitors.
Introduced in 2013, the HS series is designed to deliver honest, precise reproduction, giving creators complete confidence that what they are hearing is a true representation of the sound.
Sold in pairs, the HS3 and HS4 feature a high performance Class D power amplifier, housed in the left speaker. This links to the right speaker with a simple speaker cable connection.
The HS3 features a 3.5-inch driver and 0.75-inch soft dome tweeter, while the HS4 has a 4.5-inch driver and 1-inch soft dome tweeter. Yamaha’s proprietary Twisted Flare Port technology reduces air turbulence noise in the rear bass reflex port, providing clear and accurate bass.

Projection Simulator offers a comprehensive suite of features, including calculating throw distances between screens and projectors, as well as determining the relationships between the size and distance of the projected image. The tool also provides recommendations for optimal projector placement.

UK - Wharfedale Pro has announced the release of updates to its DP-F and DP-N series amplifiers. The output power, model numbers and configurations remain the same, but updated DP-F and DP-N models will now feature updated DSP controller software features, increased internal DSP functions, new IPS colour displays, locking XLR connectors and AES/EBU inputs. These new features represent a huge upgrade to Wharfedale Pro’s amplifier offerings.

Germany - LD Systems has launched a new product range specifically for the installation market. The TICA series offers compact solutions for any size project that are flexible, easy to install and packed with features that deliver better sound and control, says the company.

In response, Audiotonix companies Solid State Logic and Slate Digital have launched a migration programme to allow Gobbler users to transfer their existing accounts to their new shared subscription platform, which will guarantee continued access to their favourite subscription and ongoing new plug-ins.

Europe - HOF will reduce the prices for standard truss by up to 15% as of 1 November 2023. This affects the truss systems HOFKON and HOFFORK (with the exception of the MLT series). The prices of the HOFKON 290-4 series in black will also be reduced by up to 15%.
This price reduction is a reaction to the current easing on the procurement market for raw aluminium. Both the HOFKON 290-4 series and the HOFKON 290-4 Black series are currently available from stock.
