When Katy Perry took to the stage to perform her new single Firework, the backdrop featured pyrotechnics. Cirque Bijou's Julian Bracey worked with Quantum FX and international show designer Baz Halpin to manage a team of four fire dancers who wore pyrotechnic backpacks.

The festival attracts snowboard, ski and music fans from all over the UK, and welcomes the world's very best skiers and snowboarders who compete on a specially erected 32m high, 100m long real snow ramp.

As well as the snow competitions, musical acts perform in a marquee on the site over the three days and this year's line-up included Mark Ronson, and Krafty Kuts & MC Dynamite.
