Germany - Founded in Ibiza in 1973, the international club brand Pacha has had a presence in Munich’s city centre since 2000. As is the case for its other sites around the globe, the Munich venue regularly hosts world-famous DJs from the techno and house scene including Sven Väth, Fat Boy Slim, DJ Hell, and Carl Cox. Naturally, given the club’s status, its audio system is of the utmost importance.

USA - LEA Professional has added the 1504 model to its Cinema Digital Series. The company unveiled the Cinema Digital Series of IoT-enabled smart amplifiers last April. The four-channel CDS1504 model drives 1,500W per channel into 2, 4, and 8 ohms as well as 70Vrms and 100Vrms.

Each Cinema Digital Series model supports two or four channels, with wattages ranging from 350 to 1500W per channel. UK - The University of Manchester's Martin Harris Centre for Music and Drama has long been a cornerstone of the institution’s performing arts and education programmes. UK - To mark the company’s 100th year, Celestion has been honoured by Vox Amplification with the presentations of a special limited-edition Hand-Wired VOX AC30HW60 Amplifier. 

The special VOX AC30 was originally created for Vox’s 60th anniversary, and the particular unit features a congratulatory plaque to Celestion, presented by Vox’s managing director Ian Doggett to Andy Farrow, Celestion’s global director of sales.

France - Madame Loyal Marseille, a two-day indoor festival that combined theatrical performances and electronic music from artists such as Acid Arab, Vitalic and Worakls Orchestra, took place at the Parc Chanot on 29-30 November.

Under the direction of production manager Aurel Quiévreux and audio engineer/consultant Probe (Sebastien Jovys) and in collaboration with Concept Group, Alive and Funktion-One distributor for France Solution One, the show featured Funktion-One systems in both rooms.

China - Guangzhou Cantonese Opera Theatre, formerly known as the Guangzhou Cantonese Opera Troupe, was established in 1953. The building is located in Yuexiu district, Guangzhou city and has a total floor area of about 40,000sq.m, including a 1,200-seat Grand Theatre, a 500-seat theatre and three 60-seat cinemas.

DiGiCo has played a part in the co-creation of two new theatres for the space, Hung Sin-nui Theatre and Red Bean Hall. An SD5 is installed in the Hung Sin-nui Theatre and a Quantum 338 in the smaller Red Bean Hall.

UK - Part of the Merlin family who operate predominantly in the South-West, the 500-capacity Regal Theatre in Redruth occupies a 1930s art deco building, doubling between cinema and live events.

Local contractors, TruCru, were brought in recently to overhaul the theatre PA, replacing an archaic system with a Martin Audio FlexPoint solution. As a community facility, the new PA needed to demonstrate the versatility to cater for a wide variety of shows – ranging from am dram, touring tribute acts, operatic societies and nationally recognised stand-up comedians, with a high SPL.
