Germany - UK LED lighting manufacturer i-Pix takes to Prolight+Sound this year, on Stand B23 Hall 11, to launch the latest version of its inventive Db1, a new hybrid video and lighting projector that harnesses i-Pix' proprietary Light Valve Video Projector (LVVP -- Technology.)

LVVP unites two distinct elements of visual technology: The power of a soft edged wash light, driven by both DMX (intensity and strobe) and video (HD 1080p or SDI) inputs.

Chris Ewington, inventor of this and other technologies like the PixelLine LED batten and BB series' LED wash fixtures, comments, "Db1 is a truly immersive experience that is full of creative potential. So if you are bored with the same old ideas being recycled ... then the Db1 is for you."

Germany - The new LAm114xA active stage monitor joins the LAm family (LAm115 and LAm112). It incorporates advanced coaxial 14" speaker, custom made by B&C and a high performance DPA amplifier module, capable of generating 1650Wrms of high-definition power for a very high acoustic pressure.

This stage monitor combines the 12" associated voice reproduction clarity with the bass extension typically reproduced by the 15" speakers. The high frequency reproduction is assured by a 2" exit, 3" voice coil, HF neodymium driver for further improved resolution on the critical voice frequency range.

The small footprint and light weight combined with the absolutely linear and extended response at very high pressure levels, makes the LAm114xA the perfect solution for small to large venue applications.

The heart of the new LAm114xA, is a powerful, light weight, high

In the 1980s, Amptown's initiators Peter Matthes and Ulrich Müller - thanks to their passion for music and in particular for technology - became known as sound system experts in the booming musical business. For the first time in theatre history people built venues tailored to specific shows featuring permanently installed sound systems

In 1990, the year of German reunification, the Hamburg-based company began to focus on merging expertise in the professional music business with its knowledge of the right products and of the installation and servicing of complex sou

UK - Lighting designer James Reed has chosen to use an array of the latest addition to the Showline eSERIES, the SL eSTRIP 10, for The Stranglers' March On UK tour.

Reed has been show designer for the band's previous two tours, which were centred on video. For this run, he went for a more light-based show, specifying 14 of the SL eSTRIP 10 units from Bristol-based rental operation Enlightened Lighting.

"The overall concept was to take a very modern approach to the lighting, whilst maintaining the requisite menace and quirks that span the punk, new romantic and even pop genres," says Reed. "When it came to choosing fixtures Andrew Bartlett at Enlightened invited me to check out the SL eSTRIP 10 and I was sold just from looking at one unit washing a white wall in daylight."

Reed focused the design on a black camo net backdrop to reflect the band's signature
