The provisional programme, which can be found on the website below, promises another lively and informative weekend, in the long-standing tradition of Reproduced Sound conferences. This year, the theme is 'Exploring and Sharing Audio and Acoustics', and the topics covered include Speech Intelligibility; Perception; Room Acoustics; Audio Networks; Loudspeaker Arrays and Loudspeaker Measurements. The conference will also feature presentations from Dr DurandBergault of NASA, Floyd Toole of Harman International, Dr Wolfgang Ahnert of ADA (and EASE fame), Phil Nelson of the ISVR (Institute of Sound and Vibration Research) as well as an evening demonstration from Genelec.
Other contributors to the programme include AMS Acoustics; Arup; British Broadcasting Corporation; BSS Audio; Celestion; Delft University; Duran Audio; EAW; ISVR; JBL Professional; Listen Inc; Martin Audio; Meridian Audio; Meyer; NXT and Peter Mapp & Associates. There will also be an area demonstrating relevant products.
The Conference will also feature a joint session with the Institute of Acoustics' Autumn Conference, which immediately precedes Reproduced Sound at the same venue. The final session of the Autumn Conference on the Thursday will be on Arena & Stadium Design, including sound installation and building acoustics. As part of thise, there will be a presentation on the sound system at the City of Manchester Stadium for the Commonwealth Games.
Reproduced Sound is organized by the IoA in collaboration with the Audio Engineering Society (AES), the Association of British Theatre Consultants (ABTT), the Institute of Sound and Communication Engineers (ISCE) and the Association of Professional Recording Services (APRS).
