5 Star's Natasha Saich with the new ‘Venue' range of cases
Germany - Celebrating the company's 30th Anniversary, UK-based 5 Star Cases will be launching new products, showcasing its most popular current ranges, meeting existing clients and seeking new ones at ProLight+Sound in Frankfurt.

New products will include 5 Star's Venue range of general purpose cases. This sees a slight departure for 5 Star, in that the main material used is a lightweight honeycombed polypropylene. This offers significant weight savings over traditional plywood carcass constructed cases, and will be suitable for small to medium sized applications of all types.

A 'nest' of four general purpose carry cases is available, utilising classic 'Russian Doll' methodology, whereby sets of cases in decreasing sizes are placed one inside the other for neat storage when not in use.

Other than the polypropylene panels, the case is furnished with the usual flight case type hardware, including butterfly catches, recessed handles and aluminium extrusions. They are available in a range of four standard colours.

Other products highlighted on the 5 Star booth will be a flagship Pioneer based DJ console, showcasing 5 Star's comprehensive design and CNC machining capabilities. Having recently installed its third Thermwood large format CNC machining centre, the company has further increased its capacity for manufacturing specialist cabinet/case solutions.

Also on display will be a series of new cases specially designed for a leading digital audio console manufacturer - Further details will be revealed at the show.
