After working on successful Rod Stewart/Ben Elton West End musical Tonight's The Night, Rory was hired again by producer Phil Macintyre to provide the sound design and PA systems for three new comedy tours. All three productions - Little Britain, The League of Gentlemen and Ben Elton are touring extensively throughout the UK.
Having become a convert to Yamaha's latest generation of digital mixing consoles after purchasing Yamaha PM5D-RH desks from A.C. Madden was convinced the new M7CL 32/48 channel desk would be ideal for the needs of theatre-size touring productions.
He says: "What I really liked about the M7CL is its small footprint size and ease of use - the crossover between an analogue and digital desk is just right, it really combines the best of both worlds in a nice compact package. Sonically it's also very good, especially the compressors, and sounds absolutely amazing."
Rory took delivery of two 48 channel and one 32 channel M7CL desk for the tours from UK dealer A.C. Lighting, having previously purchased PM5D consoles and other associated equipment from A.C. on several occasions. A.C. also included product training for Gareth Lewis (Ben Elton tour engineer) once the consoles had been delivered.
