The latest addition to Allen & Heath's range of digital consoles gets its UK launch. The iDR-64 is a large, fixed I/O version of the iLive MixRack and is able to work with the same firmware as the other products in the range. It will be on display alongside the recently introduced iLive-R72 controller and the iDR-16.
Yamaha Commercial Audio is to show an Ethersound version of its M7CL digital mixing desk, along with its latest networking systems. Soundcraft's Vi1 digital mixer is the highlight of the Sound Technology stand.
Sound Technology will also display the Crown i-Tech HD power amps, AKG DMS700 digital wireless microphone system, the 1U, USB2 disk drive-based JoeCo Blackbox digital recorder and JBL's sub-compact VerTec mini-line array loudspeaker system.
The full range of E-Series cabinets are central to d&b audiotechnik's stand, with the German manufacturer also showing the Remote network, which allows central control and monitoring of loudspeaker systems, and version 6 of the ArrayCalc simulation tool.
The show will also feature products from Duran Audio, L-Acoustics (which is also exhibiting in its own right), Digidesign, Yamaha and Soundcraft. Taking pride of place is Duran Audio's own loudspeaker systems, including the AXYS Scope self-powered range, aimed at the theatre and corporate markets. Getting a UK launch are the AXYS Beam Shaping subwoofers, a continuation of Duran's research into directional audio technology.
Beam steering can also be seen on the Red Square Audio stand in the form of the Tannoy QFlex but the main focus will be on a new loudspeaker system jointly developed by the two companies. The Tannoy VQ LIVE is aimed at fixed installation work and is able to cover a 1500 seat, two-tier theatre from only two cabinets.
Amplifiers and rack mixers are at the heart of any installation and new products in this sector will be debuted by MiLTec UK. The multi-channel amps are lightweight in design and have high power outputs, active crossovers and input linking. The 1U mixers offer a full range of features, including talk-over, phantom power and channel labelling.
Orbital Sound will show the Da-Cappo water-resistant micro microphones, which it is now distributing exclusively in the UK. Also on the stand will be digital radio mics from Zaxcom, Roland mixing desks and foldback systems and CSC Show Control software.
Orbital is showing the HME digital wireless intercom, while Canford will have the latest addition to the TecPro range. This is also a wireless product and features the TW401 belt-pack and a choice of two headsets. Based on encrypted UHF frequencies, the system is being launched at ABTT after extensive evaluation by key users of TecPro's wired systems.
The ABTT Theatre Show takes place at the Royal Horticultural Halls in London on 16-17 June.
