2007 marked the seventh year of Croma 440 taking the Sonar del Dia contract. The largest of the four stages was the open air Village, where trip hop and funk ruled with 12 Adamson Y18s and six Adamson T21s, with two of them actually turned off, as the low end was more than sufficient with just two per side, when paired with the Y18s. Four SX 18 side-fills, three M15 monitors and two CB1s were used as a FOH system, where sound engineer Joan Román, who has been travelling in Spain and the Americas with EML productions for the past year, mixed bands on a Midas Heritage 3000.
The indoor Hall stage featured big screens where experimental music and multimedia art were married by an Adamson SpekTrix system. Two hangs of seven SpekTrix with a single Wave enclosure hung L and R of the stage, and four SpekTrix subs were stacked on the ground. Two SX18s were used on the stage as side fills and a Heritage 2000 desk sat at FOH.
A more mellow approach on the outdoor Dome stage was achieved with an almost ground level stage inside a long rectangular tent, with people sitting on the ground listening to melodic and vocals heavy new music. Adamson 12 Y10s with a lighter fare of six Y10 subs were used with SX18 as stage-fills.
The Complex stage was a large indoor underground venue and featured a five SpekTrix box rig with a three SpekTrix Wave under hang paired with eight SpekTrix subs.
All Adamson speakers were run on European standard racks consisting of Lab.gruppen power, XTA processing (M-Series processor was used for the M15ís), Adamson's own A.I.D. panels and power distros. Overseeing the set-up and making sure that the shows ran smoothly were Artur Alvarez of Croma 440 and system engineer Joan Fornes.
