The main stand was home to the lighting and rigging offering from AED Distribution that includes High End Systems, Prolyte, Columbus McKinnon, SRS Light Design, Swisson, AV Stumpfl, Doughty, Verlinde (Stagemaker) and MediaLas.
Prominent were the latest stage lighting luminaires from High End Systems under the LED RISING Banner, including the SolaSpot Pro 1500 with its 400w White LED engine providing a staggering 20,000 Lumens output and the Shapeshifter C2 with its seven independently controlled LED modules. Control was provided by a Full Boar 4 and a Road Hog 4 which were running the very latest V3 software with its powerful yet simple to use pixel-mapping functionality.
Paul Young, one of the latest recruits to the AED Distribution team, was on hand to explain the Prolyte Truss Exchange Programme, which enables rental houses that have older non-Prolyte truss to exchange it for brand-new Prolyte products whereby the older truss is valued at five times the typical aluminium truss value. Upon agreement, Prolyte will arrange for the exchanged truss to be removed at no cost to the rental house.
"Having the Prolyte Truss Exchange Programme as part of our Prolyte offering in the UK is fantastic; given our commitment to customer support with readily available stock of the Prolyte portfolio means that investing in Prolyte products has never made more sense when approached in conjunction with the Prolyte Truss Exchange Programme," says Paul Young, the new rigging brand manager for AED Distribution, comments,
One of the other recent additions to the AED Distribution UK team in the role of account manager is Ronald Carrington who enjoyed a very busy show. In particular, there was much interest in the innovative and eye-catching Shapeshifter C2 LED Luminaire. The C2 is the small brother to the C1 but delivers a punch to small and medium sized stages and live environments where a dynamic cost-effective visual effect is needed.
Ronald explains, "PLASA Focus Leeds was my first trade show with AED Distribution and proved to be a great success; visitors particularly enjoyed the C2 which has so much to offer in a small and affordable LED package. I am really excited about following-up with visitors to the show about this as part of our just launched Fixtures Trade-In programme."
On a second stand was the offering from QSC Pro Audio with UK account managers Emma O'Sullivan and Ian Runback on-hand to expertly show and tell visitors about the QSC range including the TouchMix, K Series speakers and GXD power amplifiers. The K Series is simply the new standard in lightweight powered speaker systems.
