The standards required to achieve the internationally recognised ISO 9001:2000 certification don't just affect a company's output. They form a fundamental part of its entire operational structure, giving customers total confidence that every single part of the organisation is functioning to the highest possible level, says the company.
"Gaining ISO 9001:2000 certification demands the very best of any business," says Ampetronic managing director Julian Pieters. "We want to demonstrate to the world the excellent standards of quality and performance that are at the very heart of Ampetronic's business.
"Certification is a good way to propel the company to the next level, to encourage us to be proactive in improving everything we do, to boost our credibility and recognition across the world, and to make sure we continue to be the very best in the industry."
He continues: "As a part of the process, we have had to improve our systems and processes yet further. And with customer expectations rising ever higher, we now have opportunities to enter into major public sector projects which were unavailable to us before we gained the certification."
Ampetronic achieved the certification with BM TRADA Certification Ltd, whose auditor George Law says: "Ampetronic has developed an active management system which will help it to develop and expand its market share. The company has taken the standard on board wholeheartedly."
"There are always further improvements that can be made," says Julian Pieters. "ISO 9001:2000 certification is not an end in itself; it is just another step up for Ampetronic as we seek to continually raise our exacting standards."
