Malte Polli-Holstein comes from Buchholz/Nordheide, near Hamburg, and studied to become an audio engineer in Hamburg and Zurich. With that degree under his belt, the 40-year-old has worked as a technical manager and sound designer for AIDA Cruises for 15 years. Since 2012, Polli-Holstein has also been known to many industry professionals as the owner and managing director of a consulting firm for technical and creative entertainment. Malte Polli-Holstein can look back on the successful construction supervision and commissioning of ten cruise ships over the course of his career.
"In recent years, Amptown System Company has developed into one of the leading contact partners for international shipping companies and shipyards when it comes to media and entertainment technology," explains Malte Polli-Holstein. "The internal structures at ASC are consistently oriented toward the aim of creating new worlds of experience for guests on board the cruise ships together with partners in shipyards and at shipping companies. I want to be available to our customers as an expert contact and sparring partner for new concepts."
Company founder Ulrich Müller, who, as managing director, is responsible for the entertainment and maritime projects areas at ASC, welcomed the new arrival. "With Malte, we have gained someone who is recognized in the industry as a pro in the areas of event technology, sound design, and the specification and planning of entertainment installations. We have known each other for years through working together for AIDA ships and are now meeting on a level playing field."
