Under the umbrella of the APRS / UKTI national booth which branded itself as the 'GREAT British Audio Embassy', companies from the pro-audio, live sound reinforcement and broadcast sectors shared a single space at the AES Expo and Convention. It attracted a steady flow of new customers and existing clients cementing over £750k of immediate business, plus a catalogue of future deals that are making the prospect of South American trips increasingly alluring.
Brazil offers an enormous domestic market but is also seen as a gateway to the entire South American continent.
The success of these exploratory trips, which have enjoyed considerable government support, has encouraged the APRS, the MIA and PLASA to team up and extend the national booth concept to the largest audio and MI exhibition in South America, Expo Music, which runs from 17-21 September 2014, at Expo Center Norte, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The profile of the show invites big and small brands in the MI, Live audio and Recording sectors to participate in a mix of public and business days. There will be an opportunity to participate in another impressive and cost effective GREAT British Audio Embassy pavilion booth for up to £3,500.
The UKTI supported partnership will also provide a host of value-added extras such as a consular reception/networking event, special hotel rates, on-booth technical translation, a bi-lingual brochure and pre-show advice to help smooth the path of your adventure.
UKTI has agreed to provide TAP grants for the first 10 eligible applicants, which could be as much as £3,000 for a UK company 'new to the market'.
