The Canadian production market has seen impressive growth over recent years in both commercial and feature film productions.
“Toronto has long been recognised as a leading production hub for both the Canadian and North American film industries, and we are excited to be part of this vibrant community,” says Andy Shipsides, president of ARRI Rental North America. “By having a presence in Toronto, we can provide local access to our top-of-the-line equipment and unparalleled technical expertise, ultimately helping our clients bring their creative visions to life. We look forward to working closely with the Toronto film community and contributing to its continued growth and success.”
ARRI Rental’s new facility in Toronto marks the opening of its third location in Canada, alongside its Vancouver and Calgary offices. The new 8,200sq.ft facility includes 2,600sq.ft dedicated to the ARRI Creative 2 Space - a fully outfitted studio offering the latest ARRI products and technology. ARRI specialists are on hand to offer product demos, facilitate camera and lens tests, and provide customer support.
ARRI Rental Toronto is led by branch manager Dina Maragos, who comes to ARRI Rental having previously served as general manager at Grande Camera and client service representative at SIM. Her focus will be on business development and operations.
“I am thrilled to be bringing my 15 years of experience in the motion picture equipment rental industry to ARRI Rental,” says Maragos. “My time at other notable rental houses has given me the knowledge and technical attention to detail needed to support cinematographers and creative professionals. I am excited to bring my expertise to the team and contribute to the success of each project we undertake.”
ARRI Rental Toronto is located at 94 Advanced Road, Etobicoke Ontario M8Z 2T7. The facility features ample parking, multiple ground-level garage access points, and a truck-level loading bay providing ease of access to camera assistants in their prep and building of camera trucks. The branch has already serviced major productions for Apple TV+ and Disney+ that have recently wrapped and are currently in post-production.
