UK - ASGB has recently completed a significant order for five 200kW generators for Warner Bros. Studios in the UK to support their film and TV production. These five power generator units were delivered on 18 ton Mercedes Benz Antos chassis between July and late September.

These ASGB-built power generators use the tried and tested combination of Cummins QSL9G-3 engines and Mecc Alte ECO40 alternators together with an array of continuous improvements over previous builds of this model. The major improvements have been in the way the handed inter-cooler and radiator are connected to the engine, with simplified water pipe routes and connections, making the regular servicing items even more accessible than before. Improvements were also made to the exhaust routing. Pipework has now been designed and drawn up on CAD models, enabling accurate manufacture and easing the assembly process and reducing assembly times.

Work continues with each new customer order to improve the accessibility of serviceable components and to help reduce costs both in terms of servicing time and for subsequent new builds. Building on the successful introduction into service and trouble free operation of the initial pods, this repeat order bringing the total built to eight generators shows confidence in the ASGB product and delivery times.

A Smith Gt Bentley Ltd have been building high quality low-noise power generation vehicles for the film, TV and other noise-sensitive industries since the 1970s and enjoy a reputation for quality and reliability.
