USA - The 51st Annual GRAMMY Awards held on 8 February at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, had a performance line up and duets by Coldplay and Jay-Z; Al Green, Keith Urban, Justin Timberlake and Boyz II Men performing 'Let's Stay Together'; the Jonas Brothers pairing with Stevie Wonder; Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus;, Paul McCartney and Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl; as well as performances by Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood, and many others. California-based ATK Audiotek once again provided live audio production and, once again, chose four Yamaha PM1D digital audio consoles, two at front of house and two for the monitor mix.

"The need for these shows to be flawless is what drives Audiotek to obsess on the details and not compromise on the quality of equipment and people that operate behind the scenes," states Mike Stahl, president of ATK Audiotek.

At the helm of the four Yamaha PM1Ds were Mike Parker, Tom Pesa, Ron Reaves and Mikael Stewart who added that "the Yamaha PM1D consoles are totally reliable, flexible and accepted as an industry standard. There is no room or time for error. Changes come up to the last minute as was demonstrated with the Al Green/Justin Timberlake performance."
