Astoria is a high capacity Dante PCI Express card for PC or Mac that provides a cost effective solution for OEMs seeking to create high performance recording and audio processing products, says the company. The Astoria PCIe sound card provides an unprecedented number of super low-latency Dante audio channels with support for all popular sample rates. Onboard processing frees your computer's resources for native DSP and plug-ins. Astoria can support configurations for 128x128 bi-directional channels at either 48 kHz or 96kHz sample rates, or 64x64 bi-directional channels at 192kHz sampling.
"Following the success of the Dante Virtual Soundcard (DVS) introduced last year, Astoria provides a premium Dante sound card solution for customers requiring ultra low latency and high channel count applications," stated Lee Ellison, CEO of Audinate. "Astoria gives an attractive IP based alternative to MADI and future proofs your product by offering an upgrade migration path to AVB."
