Key improvements include better echo and noise cancellation and cascade connectivity
UK - Audio-Technica has announced the launch of its updated ATDM-0604a Digital SmartMixer, increasing the functionality and versatility of the original for fixed installation in conference rooms, education and commercial facilities. Incorporating upgrades based on feedback from end-users, the ATDM-0604a is now better suited for use in online conferences and large-scale environments.
Key improvements include better echo and noise cancellation – now equivalent to Audio-Technica’s ATDM-1012 flagship SmartMixer model – and cascade connectivity (via Audio-Technica LINK) for up to eight mixers (if an ATDM-1012 is the first device) or up to six mixers (if connected with ATDM-0604a only), for larger installations. In addition, the ATDM-0604a allows for remote mute control of the ES954 hanging microphone array, via LINK connectivity with the ACP-W02S control panel, allowing up to four panels to be used in conjunction with the new SmartMixer (AT-LINK Extender may be required) and control of the LED thanks to the new GPO ports.
The ATDM-0604a’s comprehensive feature list includes six mic/line inputs, balanced and (unbalanced) stereo outputs, USB audio input/output, four-band EQ and compressor/de-esser for each input system and 12-band parametric EQ, compressor and limiter for each output. Audio input and output settings can be configured from the front panel without a computer if necessary, with advanced control available either via Web Browser or the SmartMixer Manager app.
Complementing the release of the new ATDM-0604a, the launch of the ATLK-EXT25 Link Extender provides up to 25 watts of additional power to the unit for significantly extended cable runs. The Link Extender features a pair of RJ45 ports and connects between the ring or daisy chain of connected components to feed in both directions (forward and reverse).
The final new addition to the Audio-Technica SmartMixer system is the simple, programmable ATCP-W02S wall control panel. Power and data traffic between the panel and SmartMixers is delivered over AT-Link terminals using standard Cat 5e or higher cables, with up to four control panels able to be connected to each SmartMixer.
Used in conjunction with each other, the new ATDM-0604a SmartMixer, ATLK-EXT25 Link Extender and ATCP-W02S Wall Control Panel provide systems integrators with a scalable and easy-to-use solution for customers across a wide range of sectors.
