UK - AV News magazine and Pacific Media Associates (PMA) will be jointly conducting a survey of UK resellers specialising in audio-visual products during 2006. The survey will focus on large displays, interactive and related products.

"The dramatic improvements in price/performance in all AV products, and specially in large displays, is leading to expanded market opportunities," suggests Bryan Denyer, editor of AV News. "As the vital link between manufacturers, distributors and end users, resellers are in the best position to know what is going on in the industry ... who is buying, what the applications are, what sort of products are most in demand, which manufacturers and distributors are doing the best job working with them, and a host of other key issues.

"We are hearing repeatedly from our manufacturer and distributor contacts that they need a better understanding of the trends in the market and the needs of resellers, and have partnered with Pacific Media Associates to create an annual survey to probe all of these key issues."

"Pacific Media Associates has conducted eleven annual surveys of resellers of large displays in North America, and our survey is the oldest and biggest of its type," says William Coggshall, PMA president. "We have noticed that our surveys yield information that the industry needs in order to rise above a purely price-based competition, information that results in insights that in turn leads to more creative marketing and selling strategy and tactics. Having established our approach in North America, we wanted to apply it to the major markets in Europe."
