The ART2000i was launched at PLASA last year, and is already proving popular for all types of installation applications. Recent ART installs include 672 channels for a new studio in Beirut for the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation, a smaller system for the new Moat Theatre Club, Naas in County Kildare, Ireland, and the first UK system into Blackpool Grand Theatre. It is the first foray into the installation market by Avolites, and the company has plans to expand its installation product range in the future.
Huge interest has been registered in the dimmer from many sources, and this has prompted the Awareness days. The first has just taken place, and another three are planned over the next year. Attendees included representatives from leading UK lighting rental companies such as White Light and Stage Electrics, whilst international participants and distributors included High Resolution Lighting from Ireland. Other new Avo products were also available for inspection, specifically the Pearl 2004 and the new, streamlined Diamond 4 Elite console. Avolites also previewed the new bar remote controller for its Azure 2000 console - the next in a series of innovative, installation-orientated products from the company.
