Audio Network has been making significant waves in the television and film community with its revolutionary approach to music licensing. Bypassing the traditionally complex process of licensing music for the broadcast industry, Audio Network has written and recorded a catalogue of over 60 hours of cleared-for-use music. Producers pay a small one-off fee and all the music is cleared worldwide forever, saving production companies thousands of pounds clearing music for their productions.
Commercial director Robert Hurst said: "As a fast-growing new company that believes passionately in quality, we were delighted to hear that our recordings have been nominated for and won such a prestigious award for excellence".
Audio Network was formed just 18 months ago by Andrew Sunnucks and Robert Hurst, both former directors of the international music publisher, Boosey & Hawkes. The company is in partnership with the Oscar-winning team at Hollywood-based Soundstorm and 50 top composers from both sides of the Atlantic, including Evelyn Glennie, Stewart Copeland, John Dankworth and Terry Devine-King.
The music and sound company's website won the DTI's Beyond Bricks annual 'New Business of the Year' Award for 2002.
