UK - Lighting and sound finance company specialists Azule Finance reports a string of high profile deals with some of the UK's leading hire companies, as they stocked up ahead of the busy festival and events season. Faced with increased demand for Clay Paky Sharpy, L'Acoustics and Martin lighting and audio kit at some of the UK's biggest festivals, hire companies NiteLites and Colour Sound Experiment enlisted the services of Azule Finance to stock up in time for a busy summer.

The Summer months see the live events production industry go into overdrive to meet the demands of touring artists as they hit the festival circuit. Colour Sound Experiment and Nitelites needed quick, competitive finance options to invest in kit on the riders of some of the most popular touring artists and Azule were on hand to deliver.

Specialist lighting and sound designers, Colour Sound Experiment, invested in over £200K of moving-head lights - including 26 Clay Paky Sharpy lights and 26 Robe Robin 1200 LED washes - to be used on headline summer festivals such as Latitude, Secret Garden Party, Silverstone, Creamfields and SW4. Working closely with Azule to continue to expand its business, this investment is another part of Colour Sound Experiment's recent stock expansion, which included a £300,000 bespoke 100sq.m LED video wall also financed by Azule ahead of last year's festival season.

Haydn Cruickshank, director of Colour Sound Experiment, commented, "Almost every band we work with have Clay Paky Sharpy and Robe Robin lights on their riders, and they can't get the kit quick enough. Because of our relationship with Azule Finance, we were able to order early and provide our clients with piece of mind, well ahead of their productions."

With a summer schedule filled with high profile concerts from beginning to end, leading lighting and sound production company NiteLites invested in large quantities of L'Acoustics speakers - including Kara, Arcs and SB28's - and Martin lighting - including MAC 700 profiles and washes- to meet the demand from high profile clients, including Ben Howard, Frank Turner and popular North East festival, 'Mouth of Tyne'.

Jamie Moore, managing director of Nitelites, explained, "As anyone in the industry will tell you, sourcing finance for our projects is often challenging due to the specialist nature of the kit. Thankfully, Azule's understanding of the audio and lighting sector means they always understand the commercial value that our investments brings to our portfolio, and enables us to continue to provide excellent levels of service to our customers."

Gavin Scott, sales director at Azule Finance, added, "These businesses have been providing kit for the festival circuit for a long time and continue to experience year on year growth, as production teams request the latest lighting, sound and display products to put on the most eye-catching performances. At Azule, our understanding of the live events sector means that unlike high street lenders we instantly see the long term business value in these highly specialist products and are able to offer the support our customers need so that they can take advantage of the heightened demand in the market over this lucrative period."
