Vigil CommuniCare Advance is a disabled refuge system which is easy to install and use, says the manufacturer. The special features of the CommuniCare Advance include raised luminescent script, Braille and a built-in induction loop - making it suitable for the majority of applications. Upon occupation of the specified area, a single button press on the unit is all that is required and communication with the operator at the control panel can begin immediately.
The CommuniCare Advance system is activated in response to an emergency via a building's fire detection system - eliminating the false alarms which plague many companies. The remote units are green, matching standard coding for escape systems, and can be either flush or surface mounted. Flashing LEDs on the front of the remote indicate the current mode of the unit.
The system fully complies with BS5839 (part 9) which includes full system monitoring and battery backup as standard. The intelligence of the system ensures that full operation is maintained in the event of a break in the circuit.
