Visitors to the Baldwin Boxall stand at ProLight & Sound and Firex South will be able to preview the Eclipse2M
UK - Visitors to the Baldwin Boxall stand at ProLight & Sound 2010 (24-27 March) and Firex South 2010 (16-17 March) will be able to preview the Eclipse2M, wall-mountable, stand-alone, voice evacuation/public address system. Other products on show will include the Unitouch touchscreen paging station, BVRD microphone controller and the popular OmniCare disabled refuge and fire telephone system.

Fully networkable, the VIGIL Eclipse2M is monitored and battery backed (backup batteries are contained within the unit). It utilises the new BVRD2M4 DSP-controlled router, a BVSMP switch mode power supply and either a BV120D (dual 120W amplifier) or BV050Q (quad 50W amplifier). With the BV050Q amplifier fitted the system is capable of serving two zones with dual circuits (or four, single-circuit, zones or three with reserve). Up to 126 units can be networked (digital networking can be achieved using Baldwin Boxalls new BVRDNET products).

Increasingly popular as a method of controlling an EVAS voice evacuation system, Unitouch allows simple intuitive control. By touching the relevant part of the screen the operator can access fire microphones, page any/all zones, select and broadcast background music, and much more. Each system is bespoke, designed specifically for the system it is intended. There are two screen display options button or graphic layout.

Launched last year, the BVRD performs as a paging microphone, fire microphone or an emergency all call microphone and is proving to be a popular choice for many installations. The microphone controller features LCD screens to indicate zone name, input source and fault status. There is also a screen which allows the user to scroll through pre-recorded messages stored on the EVAS router.

VIGIL OmniCare is an addressable emergency voice communication system that allows disabled refuge, fire telephones and disabled toilet alarm remote units to be wired in one system. A new addition to the system is an emergency/stewards telephone which is green in colour and can also be included on the same wiring loop as the other outstations.
