To keep the lighting fairly simple due to the ballroom being scheduled for another immediate event, Bandit utilized Chauvet Freedom Pars along the convention walls. These battery powered fixtures allow techs to turn on the pre-programmed colour, set it, focus it and walk away, while Chauvet Colordash Blocks added dimension for the Governor's address upstage.
"The upstage was wall-to-wall pipe and drape which we lit with GRNLite LED Pars in red and blue," said Bandit's warehouse manager Giff Swart. "The stage was lighted with the ever reliable Arri 1k Fresnels on Triple-Riser Combo Stands. These lights are just beautiful for quick setup and teardown situations, and the beam spread allows for them to be fairly close in to the stage. Add in barn-doors and a dimmer, and you are able to shower your subject with a beautiful tungsten wash."
Bandit chair Michael T. Strickland is the former chair of the Knoxville Chamber and a friend of the Governor. Strickland stated, "Bandit is always pleased to engage with the Chamber to help enrich the community. Events like this assist in development and growth of the area, the State and the US. We are proud to be involved."
