USA - Bonnaroo has been the top-grossing festival in the US since it began in 2002 and Bandit Lites has been lighting the two principal stages every year. Set in the fields of Manchester, Tennessee, some 60 miles south of Nashville nearly 80,000 music lovers descended for the annual three-day festival. The New York Times noted, "Bonnaroo, in just its third year, has already revolutionized the modern rock festival." In a special issue of Rolling Stone, Bonnaroo was named one of the 50 moments that changed the history of rock'n'roll.

Produced by Superfly Productions of New Orleans and Ashley Capps of Knoxville, Tennessee, the show celebrated its fourth year in 2005 with a line up of such notables as Widespread Panic, Dave Matthews Band, Trey Anastasio, Jack Johnson, The Black Crowes, Allman Brothers, Modest Mouse, Joss Stone, The Mars Volta, Kings of Leon and over 60 other artists.

Hadden Hippsley took on the roles of production manager and lighting designer, ably supported by his stage manager Mark Reinke. As such, the rigs were designed to offer maximum flexibility for the different styles and artists, allowing each one unique features they could enjoy. Michael Strickland, Bandit CEO, said: "Working with Hadden is always such a pleasure. He understands the varied needs of the artists and also understands the technical needs of the lighting company. Hadden's flexibility in this festival situation is what makes everything happen so smoothly." Three Semi's of Bandit equipment were delivered to site containing 25 Mac 600s, 20 Mac 2k Profiles, six Mac 500s, 40 Mac 300s, 30 6-Lamp bars, four Lycian 1271, three Wholehog II consoles, three Hog wings, 34 motors and three circle trusses.

The rig was designed to cover the whole stage area, but allowing via the circles created an intimacy for smaller acts. The placement of the three circle trusses above the stage gave artists the option to use the centre circle lighting only, thus focusing all attention on the artist. Using all three circles enveloped the stage and gave angles and size for the larger performances.

Bandit Lites assigned Ben Hay as programmer to help the LDs, Wayne Lotoza was crew chief and the lighting crew was staffed by Jason Workman and Jimmy Hatten.
