Belgium - Many of the world's top performing artists are touring through North America and Europe supported by Barco equipment this summer. For Barco's worldwide rental partners, this is the busiest time of the year. Bob Brigham of Nocturne Vidicon says: "No doubt this is one of our busiest summers to date. Our entire LED fleet is on the road as part of concerts and tours by Paul McCartney, Cher, Madonna, Van Halen, Simon & Garfunkel, The Eagles, KISS, Bare Naked Ladies & Alanis Morrisette and many others. Luckily, all Barco's LED screens are cross-rentable with tiles from other batches and run-time ages, which allows us to rent in LED tiles from other Barco Rental Partners to help satisfy the demand."

IMAG, another of Barco's leading North American rental partners, is taking to the road with Barco Dlite 7 and R18 projectors, which can be seen on shows by Three Doors Down/Nickleback, Toby Keith and Reba.

Pete's Big TV is especially busy this summer, with two high profile tours going on simultaneously. Pete's has two SLM 10 projectors on the Sting Sacred Love Tour that began in January in Miami and the Metallica Madly In Anger With The World tour has eight SLM 10 projectors on the road. The concert circuit in Europe is also proving jam-packed this summer. Jump-started by the ever popular 'Rock in Rio' concert in Portugal in June, which used 30sq.m of Barco Slite 10, fans can also enjoy concerts by Dido, The Corrs, Muse and Red Hot Chilli Peppers, which all feature Barco LED displays delivered by Barco Rental Partner XL Video. Italy-based Barco Rental Partner STS Communication is supporting the Eros Ramazotti 9 World Tour with Barco Dlite 7 LED, while the MTV-Coca Cola Italian tour features Barco Dlite 7 LED displays.

One of the most spectacular stage set-ups of this summer belongs to The Corrs, which features a creative configuration of Barco's newest product, MiPIX. Launched in September 2003 MiPIX has won several international awards and appeared on stage with stars including Kylie Minogue and Britney Spears. "We are very pleased to see that the Barco LED displays will again be centre stage with so many of the world's foremost artists this summer. Barco's MiPIX LED system also continues its rise in popularity as a creative, flexible backdrop solution, which can be adapted to suit almost any need in terms of backdrop size, shape and resolution," says Stephan Paridaen, president of Barco Media & Entertainment, adding: "Barco has been developing tailor-made solutions for the event engineering industry for many years and we will continue to focus our R&D efforts to design and develop products and solutions which drive the technological evolution of this industry."
