To realise this project, Grape SC has opted to deploy IP audio components from the Swiss technology specialist Barix. These components enable music and voice reproduction with the remote management of all the integrated end components, whilst satisfying the high quality requirements with regard to the transmitted audio data.
Ski tourism in the Czech Republic promises significant growth potential, and is attracting financially powerful investors, as in this case. "So far, everything has gone extremely well indeed , and we have had no problems whatsoever with the equipment," sums up Jaromír Hradil, CTO of Grape SC.
"A network such as this, based on Ethernet TCP/IP, is ideally suited for use with our equipment," explains Johannes Rietschel, CEO of Barix. "The Instreamer 100 is used as an encoder and the Exstreamer 100 as a decoder. The Instreamer converts the audio signal from the source at a central location into a stream, which it then sends via the network to the destinations, where the Exstreamer converts them back into the original audio signal and outputs them via connected loudspeakers." The solution in Klinovec consists of one Instreamer and six Exstreamers, which have been installed via individual terminals positioned between 300 m and 1800 m away from each other.
