A LightViper optical cable/audio transport system from FiberPlexis a key element of the sound reinforcement services supplied by Apex Productions for Hinn's appearances. The LightViper system runs 64 channels of audio from the stage to the front-of-house (FOH) mixing position, the monitor mix position and the broadcast truck, which also records the events. Both the FOH position and the broadcast truck also send 8-channel returns to the stage via the LightViper system.
"There's a wide variety of sizes and types of venues we're doing, and some of them, like arenas and dirt fields, involve long cable runs," says Danny Huebsch, founder and owner of Apex Productions. "LightViper can handle the long distances that copper cannot, and fibre is a much easier and lighter proposition than copper cable snakes. It was also a very cost-effective solution, which saved the client money. So it's great on a number of levels."
