The turn of the year was also the go-ahead for TLT to invest in a RockLink system. On New Year's Eve it came into operation for the first time in order to provide a redundant fibreoptic network for the MA-Net between FOH and Dimmercity.
"As we are placing great value on reliability for our productions, we have been working with Rock Solid Technologies' RockSwitch Mk2 for some time. Moreover, there was an increasing internal necessity to invest in a redundant fiberoptic network", stated Helge Rabethge, technical director Light and Rigging.
"For the buying decision, it was important to us to invest in a reliable system that consists of as few individual components as possible and that is easy to administer. Especially for medium-sized productions, it is difficult to put someone in charge exclusively for network management and the time to do the set-up is limited. This is why our decision for Rock Solid Technologies' RockLink was made quickly. Furthermore, with the Fiberfox version of the device, we have invested in flexible and innovative fiberoptic with lens connectors, which meets the highest expectations", continues Rabethge.
LMP, as exclusive distributor in Germany, as well as Jens Hillenkötter, CTO of Rock Solid Technologies gave their support throughout the production preparation. Lars Murasch created the lighting design for the event on behalf of TLT Event AG.
