The beyerdynamic DT 290 series headsets have undergone a major makeover for this year's show. The new DT 290 offers an improved pivoting gooseneck microphone and further enhanced immunity against Radio Frequency Interference (RFI). With its highly flexible microphone boom, the DT 290 ensures that the microphone is always where the operator needs it.
Also on show will be the new DT 790 and DT 797 headsets designed to combine high quality audio with long-term wearing comfort. Both models incorporate a pivoting gooseneck microphone boom and first-class microphone capsules.
beyerdynamic's professional series headphones and headsets are now available with an integrated level limiter. This new option, available throughout the range guarantees that an operator's hearing is protected when the headphone is used over a prolonged period.
Designed to meet health and safety criteria, German audio specialist beyerdynamic has created a passive circuitry which achieves an audio response similar to that of a complex, expensive VCA limiter. beyerdynamic's two-phase limiting concept incorporates a smooth decrease of the audio signal by 6dB then a hard, protective brick-wall limit of the audio signal. This two-step process ensures that overall sound quality is maintained throughout any peak in a signal. The limiter threshold can be defined by the customer when ordering. The new limiters are available in the DT250 and DT770 Pro headphone series and the DT290 and DT790 series headsets.
The Opus 600 wireless system will also be showcased at the London show. Key features include interchangeable mic capsules, over 20 hours of battery life and 16 programmed UHF frequencies which can be easily selected and configured via an infrared set up feature for the handheld transmitter. The Opus 600 is available and shipping in Channel 38 frequencies.
