UK - Black Light has teamed up with a number of its key suppliers and the Federation of Scottish Theatre (FST) to help deliver three days of technical training at Pitlochry Festival Theatre on the 22-24 February 2011.

Among the courses being run by Black Light are sessions on the Safe Use of Pyrotechnics, on the operation of ETC Ion Lighting Desks, Rosco Lighting and Scenic Products and Avolites Titan Software.

"Our courses will be a fantastic opportunity to get your hands on some of the most exciting technology in the business and learn how to use it from the professionals," says Black Light's Phil Haldane. "They'll also be a great chance to meet others in the industry and to catch up with colleagues."

A wide range of other training courses will be running over the three-day event and participants can book to come along to one session or many. There will also be the opportunity to join in topical discussion sessions at lunchtime each day, alongside various informal evening get-togethers.

A number of the sessions are free and special discounted Winter School rates will apply. Discounts are also available: book three or more courses and get 20% off or take advantage of an early bird discount and receive 10% off all bookings made by the 22 December 2010. Funding is also available through ILA Scotland for those who earn under £22,000 per annum.

The Federation of Scottish Theatre advances the interests of professional Scottish theatre and dance at home and abroad and has over 120 members.
