Blitz says it designed and built the system around a core concept of quality and flexibility which has enabled it to replace its analogue PPU in favour of a completely digital system. The MDPPU is future-proofed by using multi definition digital systems which are switchable between SD and HD formats. This enables the client to bring in multi camera and video sources and therefore control all of their media on site.
The system comes complete in two racks, one vision and one engineering with the capability to integrate up to four SD Sony D50 camera kits. To remain flexible the system does not include any camera control units (CCU), or remote control units (RCP), as these are supplied within the camera kits (SD / HD).
