The Voyager series loudspeakers are compact, attractive and designed to withstand 15 years of outdoor use. The cabinets are waterproof, UV-resistant to avoid fading in the sun and come supplied with corrosion resistant grilles and brackets. Special touches include rotating badges for vertical or horizontal installation and chunky, hand-tight collars for simple position adjustment.
The range spans five models from the smallest, Voyager 4, at 23cm tall for discreet installation while the range-topping Voyager 7 model boasts a substantial 7in bass driver in a larger cabinet for improved sound.
For acoustically demanding installations, multiple Voyager arrays can be configured to offer an ambient music presence, high clarity voice or a high volume wall of sound. For domestic installations, if disturbing neighbours is a concern Voyager loudspeakers' directional design can create a 'hi-fi hotspot' of music on the patio while reducing noise travelling outside of the garden. Boston says the Voyager Metro - a stereo loudspeaker housed in a single cabinet - achieves more sound in less space than any other outdoor speaker on the market.
The range is completed by a dedicated outdoor subwoofer that can be placed beneath decking or suspended floors, or partially buried and disguised as within a garden environment. Powered by Boston's dedicated off-board amplifier, the Voyager Sub12 has a 12in driver.
