MI7 is headquartered in Malmoe, Sweden, and Larsen directs a group of international sales agents. As an executive with substantial music industry experience and connections, Larsen will manage key partnerships and core retail accounts as well as provide Broadjam with product development expertise.
Previously, Larsen was the COO of Steinberg Media Technologies, which rose to a leadership position in the growing digital content creation space during his seven-year tenure. Larsen also helped direct the development of numerous popular audio software products, including Cubase VST. Pinnacle Systems acquired Steinberg in December 2002.
Larsen's international experience is extensive and his reputation in the music software industry is very strong. We are thrilled to have someone of his caliber leading the charge internationally," said Roy Elkins, founder and CEO of Broadjam. "Under Larsen's leadership, MI7 will bring Metajam and the Broadjam name to a larger audience."
Larsen said: "I am delighted to be joining the Broadjam family at such an exciting time for both of our companies, Metajam is a product that complements MI7's operations, and I believe it will have a profound impact on the global music industry."
