The Quantum Profiles are the latest addition to Blue Parrot's large moving light inventory which now includes 30 MAC Auras, 24 MAC 101s and 22 of the flagship MAC Vipers - a mixture of Profile, Performance and Wash DX models.
2014 was a very successful year for the company with a number of high profile technical production projects including managing the site, power and lighting at the Scottish Parliament's Media Village for the Scottish Referendum.
Blue Parrot's managing director Jonnie Clough comments, "The Media Village project was important for us in many ways as the eyes of the world were on Holyrood for that week. The client demanded very high production values and very detailed health and safety planning. Whilst it was a challenging project at times, we were proud to deliver a safe, efficient and very well received village for the broadcasters of the world to visit."
Other notable projects in 2014 included exterior lighting of the International Broadcast Centre (IBC) in Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games, technical production of the Lates events at both Edinburgh Zoo and National Museum of Scotland, technical production of Jesus and Robinson College Cambridge's May Balls and lighting and power design for the Virgin Money Festival Fireworks Concert in Edinburgh.
"All of these projects are high profile with tight schedules and no room for any mistakes," says Dave Morris. "As a team at Blue Parrot we really enjoy the challenge of delivering creative and exceptional results for clients. Keeping ahead of the game and investing in the best equipment available allows us to work quickly and efficiently and guarantee great looking results. We know that adding the Quantum Profiles to our stock will help us offer even better solutions in 2015 and beyond."
