Greece - Cadac has recently supplied two S-Type Compact Live Production Consoles to Hyatt Regency Hotels & Tourism SA, via its local distributor Telmaco S.A. The S-Types have been installed in Hyatt Regency Hotels' Vergina Theatre, located next to the Regency Casino complex in Greece's second capital city, Thessaloniki. The state-of-the-art Vergina Theatre has a 550-seat auditorium, and regularly plays host to a wide variety of shows, spectaculars, contests, award ceremonies and live TV broadcasts. A key element of its design revolves around its adaptability - a philosophy underlined by its choice of the S-Type consoles, say Cadac.

The S-types comprise a total of 44-mono and 4-stereo input channels, housed in a 24-way and 33-way frame respectively. The consoles can be used individually or linked to handle larger productions. Commenting on the reasons behind its choice, the Vergina Theatre technical team said: "We were impressed by the unparalleled sound quality of the S-Type, which we put to the test under real operating conditions. Added to this was the expandability aspect of the console design, which gives us the flexibility to handle the different scale of events we stage by simply reconfiguring the S-Type frames. Cadac's audio quality and reliability are renowned, givingus confidence in our choice, which was matched by an excellent quality-to-price ratio, as well as strong local support from Telmaco. All of these factors combined to make our selection of Cadac a one-way street!"

Located in the heart of Macedonia, northern Greece, Regency Casino Thessaloniki is one of Europe's largest casinos. Open 24-hours a day, it has been designed to offer a complete entertainment venue, against a backdrop of 75,000sq.m of beautiful gardens. The contract with Regency Casino Thessaloniki follows on from the supply of two J-Types to one of Europe's largest cultural centres, Megaron - the Athens Concert Hall Complex. The J-Type consoles, comprising one 60-input and one 56-input frame plus a flexible 24-input sub frame, are installed in two new multi-functional halls at the Athens Concert Hall.

The S-Type is available as 17-, 25- or 33-way frames, and can be expanded via optional bus connectors, enabling users to link a number of frames to configure a considerably larger mixer. The S-Type incorporates a fully balanced direct output with level control, eight switchable post- and pre-fade auxiliary sends - two of which are stereo - plus a custom-designed stereoinput channel with line inputs, and comprehensive metering. The S-Type is an economically priced console that offers a high quality specification contained within a compact footprint. As with all standard Cadac console designs, users can mix and match the S-Type's modules, moving them in the frame to suit a given requirement.
