UK - Carlsbro, the UK-based manufacturer of electronic equipment for live music performance since 1959, has signed country music singer Lucie Diamond as its first female endorsee. Diamond recently gained no. 1 in the prestigious European CMA chart, knocking superstar Faith Hill off the top spot and claiming the coveted Christmas number 1.

The full endorsement deal with Carlsbro provides Lucie with the brand new CMR 40 wireless radio microphone, which she will use at her major show in Berlin in February where she will perform to more than 8,000 people. Lucie is also using a Carlsbro Delta PA system with Powerline power amplifiers, in rehearsal for forthcoming shows in Norway and Germany.

Carlsbro's sales and marketing director Jon Gold has closely followed Lucie's career since hearing early tracks from her forthcoming solo album, Sweet Medicine, from a musician friend who played on those early recording sessions. Impressed with what he heard, he set his sights on inviting Lucie to join Carlsbro's endorsee family: "Lucie is an exceptional talent, with a great voice and she is a beautiful young lady. We are delighted to welcome her into the Carlsbro family of endorsees, and look forward to working with her in 2006, and far beyond."

Gold added: "This is by no means just another endorsement deal for us. I am a big country fan myself, and recognise the pure talent and Lucie's sheer determination to succeed, that mirrors somewhat our own company philosophy. Maybe you could say we are two world-beaters together. We are very excited and proud to have Lucie on board with us."

Lucie will appear on Carlsbro's stand at major trade shows in the UK and overseas. She will also travel the UK later in 2006, presenting "vocal clinics" at selected retail stores. She will feature in Carlsbro advertisements and marketing material.

"I am genuinely delighted to be working with Jon and the team at Carlsbro, and being able to use their great equipment," said Lucie. "The new radio mic is perfect for my big show in Berlin, and my shows on the bigger stages - to allow me to really connect with the audience. I wish everyone reading this, a very happy and healthy New Year. 2006 is looking likely to be even busier than the last 12 months, and that is fine by me, especially now I have Carlsbro on my team. Bring it on."
