Chauvet Professional is passionate about LED technology
UK - Chauvet Professional has announced it has become Corporate Supporter of the Theatres Trust. Chauvet Professional will also provide further support to the Trust as sponsor of the delegate lunch at this year's Theatre Trust Conference, scheduled for 28 April, at the City Varieties Music Hall in Leeds.

The Theatres Trust is the National Advisory Body for Theatres, protecting theatres for everyone. Operating nationally in England, Scotland and Wales, the Trust promotes the value of theatre buildings and champions their future.

General manager Michael Brooksbank commented, "As a manufacturer, we feel honoured to play a role. Theatre is the backbone of the entertainment technology industry and a natural symbiosis already exists. Having come to understand in greater detail and recognise the work of the Trust, allegiance and community support became a natural next step for Chauvet."

Chauvet is passionate about LED technology and the significant advances and opportunities it can provide. It is a company noted for its dedicated support, looking to provide solutions that 'fit the bill' without tearing the budget apart - a vital requirement in times of economic downturn and reduced support for the Arts.

Recently, the Broadway Green Alliance, a US industry-wide coalition dedicated to promoting environmentally friendly practices in the Theatre industry, included Chauvet Professional products in every category of its Greener Lighting Guide.

The company feels with equal strength for its brand relationships and has reinforced its commitment to the theatres, as well as to the elite community of creative and technical lighting users therein. At a moment when many theatres are still using large volumes of older luminaries and cannot afford to switch over to more energy efficient solutions due to the large capital investment requirement, Brooksbank hopes, "networking and understanding their needs helps us to understand better their requirements and how we can best make that fit within our global market."

This year's Theatres' Trust conference takes Community Theatres as its theme for discussion, considering topics around what makes a community theatre. Talks will also cover how to achieve appropriate scale capital projects that maintain buildings and meet delivery, design and funding expectations. Community Theatres will also review the inventive solutions used by groups to resolve building and ownership issues including listing theatres as Assets of Community Value and securing funding for purchasing theatres and carrying out capital projects.
