"Responding to the success of Rosco's Image Pro (I-Pro) gobo slide projector," said managing director Diane Grant. "September sees the introduction of three new types of custom-made mounted slides, developed specifically with the I-Pro in mind. For use with the ETC Source4, the Selecon Pacifc and the Strand SL, each of the three options - bubble jet, bubble jet with silver mask and ciba transparency with silver mask - projects a full colour image to rival the resolution of a colour glass gobo and at a fraction of the cost!"
Ideal for projecting a full colour image during a short presentation, the bubble jet slide is output at a higher resolution than a typical inkjet printer and only begins to show signs of fading after 10 hours in a 575W fixture at full power. The bubble jet with the addition of a silver film mask, by producing a truly black background, creates the impression that the image is brighter - not only does this mean that the lantern may be run at reduced power, saving on energy and increasing lamp life, but the silver mask also protects the slide, lengthening its life to 25 hours when used at full power in a 575W fixture. The ultimate image is created using ciba transparency with silver mask, utilising photographic development techniques to produce extremely high calibre resolution and colour saturation, with a slide life in excess of 25 hours at 575W. What's more, the quality of a ciba transparency with silver mask can be enhanced further by using a DHA 'donut' to reduce secondary lens flare.
Available in just 24 hours for the bubble jet option, 48 hours for the bubble jet with silver mask and 72 hours for the ciba transparency with silver mask, these colour slides are tested for durability and colour degradation and provide a real alternative to the full colour glass gobo at a price customers can afford.
