State Automation is a privately owned Australian company specialising in the design and manufacture of advanced dimming systems for professional theatre, television and other entertainment applications. Cooper Controls is a specialist manufacturer and supplier of lighting control products to the entertainment and architectural lighting markets.
"Following unprecedented success in Australasia and the Far East we have been looking to further develop our business in Europe for some time," says State Automation chairman Chris Bishop. "Cooper Controls has an extensive dealer network and market penetration throughout the region. Through their Zero 88 entertainment lighting control brand they have a core knowledge of the markets our products are suited for. Another key factor in our decision was their industry leading service team. We are looking forward to working with them to grow our business together."
Graham Eales, managing director of Zero 88 adds, "Both companies have extensive experience in lighting control systems. We see a natural synergy with State Automation's focus on innovation, reliability and service. This new agreement will enable us to supply an extended product portfolio as well as deliver enhanced levels of service and support to our customers in the entertainment markets."
A network of dealers specifically focused on State Automation will be appointed to handle the marketing, distribution, and service of the State Automation products in Europe. Products will be stocked at Cooper Controls' facility in Wales. All orders and commissioning will be handled from this base.
