The transferable warranty extension, launched to coincide with the first day of this year's BPM / Pro Show, will apply to all products purchased from 13 September 2014 onwards.
Commenting on the introduction of this extended warranty, Stuart Thomson, CUK Audio managing director said, "To demonstrate our confidence in dB Technologies' products we have extended the manufacturer's warranty to five years and we have taken this one step further by making the warranty transferrable. This protects the users investment and should they choose to sell the products at a later date, they can do so with the remaining warranty intact. It will mean a higher re-sale price and therefore more money for reinvesting in the latest dB Technologies equipment."
Thomson continues, "We have opted to keep it simple; the retailer supplies the product with a warranty registration card. This is completed by the customer and returned to us with a copy of the proof of purchase. CUK will then issue a warranty certificate with the owner's details and those of the products. If the user sells the equipment, the warranty certificate is then given to the new owner, who fills their details in on the bottom of the form, sends it to us and we issue a new certificate for the remaining warranty period. Sounds familiar? Well it should as it's very similar to the V5 log book system used with cars."
