Marcus Bäumler - "This is a significant step forward”
Germany - Every club owner likes to see a full room; bar owners are no different. What about other public venues? When German pro audio manufacturer d&b audiotechnik announces the introduction of the next version of their ArrayCalc simulation software at ISE in Amsterdam 29-31 January, a room full of sound will become an altogether more achievable prospect.

"This is the planning tool that makes that target of fullness complete," said Ralf Zuleeg from the d&b Education and Application support department. "For any installer or integrator the new ArrayCalc Version 7 offers the ability to perform acoustic simulations quickly, easily and intuitively. One can now choose from a selection of d&b point source loudspeakers, most notably the xS-Series from the White range as well as Black range Q and E-Series loudspeakers. The White range has been specifically developed to address the complete demands of integrated sound reinforcement in all manner and sizes of venues, not just clubs and bars, but any public space that requires a complete high quality listening experience."

The sophisticated additional algorithms of Version 7 address the requirements of a d&b style simulation and planning tool for a complete installation project as well as corporate and AV rental markets. Until now building a simulation and performance forecast for pure point source has been complex to say the least; include hybrid designs that also contain line arrays and complexity increases almost exponentially.

Marcus Bäumler, White range product manager commented, "This is a significant step forward to support consultants, installers and users of d&b products, by providing them with a sophisticated yet easy to use acoustic simulation tool for point source as well as line array systems."

d&b audiotechnik can be found on stand number 9-A121 and in their demo lounge E103 where several demonstration sessions will take place every day. Details will be posted to the website in January.
