The D20 joins the D80 as part of the four channel 2RU amplifier family
UK - d&b audiotechnik introduced three new products at PLASA Focus 2015 at the Royal Armouries in Leeds. The new D20 amplifier, the MAX2 stage monitor and ArrayProcessing, a significant new feature within the d&b ArrayCalc V8 simulation software, made their UK debut in the New Dock Hall.

ArrayProcessing is a new optional feature for optimising the tonal and level balance of d&b J, V and Y-Series line array systems across an entire listening area, significantly improving the consistency of performance. The D20 joins the D80 as part of the four channel 2RU amplifier family. It features intuitive user interfaces and fast, responsive remote control and monitoring via Ethernet, through the OCA protocol. The MAX2 is a flexible 15" stage monitor, which can be pole mounted on a d&b subwoofer and used as a small, full range system.

The Y-Series also made its first appearance at the Royal Armouries, having been launched at PLASA London last year. Visitors to Leeds were able to see the whole new range which has been incredibly well received. Y-Series Line array loudspeakers and the Y-SUB were on show on the d&b stand whilst the point source loudspeakers and B6-SUB were introduced by Sales Partners, Wigwam/SSE and The Warehouse Sound Services.

At the show, Oran Burns from the d&b audiotechnik GB Education and Application Support Team used experiments and practical demonstrations to explore methods of distributing low frequencies evenly over an audience, whilst minimising unwanted energy elsewhere. Burns' session Your bottom end; careful where you put it, was extremely well attended and received excellent feedback.

Gianni Abruzzese, d&b GB commercial manager, said, "PLASA Focus Leeds is always a really good regional show for us. There was a real buzz around our new products - particularly our new simulation software ArrayProcessing and Oran's workshop was also a great opportunity for people to get a taste of the d&b education programme."
