This standard specifies the necessary components of a quality management system, and the audit process ensures that organizations have the necessary systems in place to continuously improve the level of quality offered by the organization. A growing number of business and government organizations conduct business only with companies that attain this certification.
Digigram managing director, Philippe Delacroix, comments: "The certification is a strategic achievement for Digigram. Not only because more and more of our customers ask for such certification, but especially because of the overall dynamic behind it. The entire company has worked very hard to analyze and refine our processes, always with the question in mind 'How can we better satisfy our customers?' It's this general attitude, which will guarantee that the quality of our products and services will continue to improve, even now that we are certified."
Digigram says it has optimized its organization by defining all relevant management processes and establishing control mechanisms to quickly identify problems, which then can be corrected and, in the next process cycle, prevented. Gilbert Durand, Digigram quality and production manager, explains: "It's inevitable to make mistakes from time to time. But our quality management will make sure that we don't make the same mistake twice."
