The ARK Festival 2012, the largest ever, was held in Technopolis, a noted industrial museum and a major cultural venue of the City of Athens, Greece, in the neighborhood of Gazi, next to Keramikos and very close to the Acropolis.
For this special event, the Technopolis became a lively and interactive park with dozens of parallel events of cultural, social, sports and educational nature to complement the musical experience.
The festival took place on two distinct stages, the Ark and the Angel. Sixteen JACK high-power compact moving heads were placed on the Arkstage, suspended from a huge curved truss encircling the stage.
Eight Delta 10R LED moving head wall washers were hung to a truss set above the stage. The lighting installation was made by the rental company Electron. The event was produced by Archangel, Athens.
